It has been my intention to pursue a master’s degree in the Business and Economics Faculty to complement my working experience in a private trading company. I have chosen to come to Australia because of Australia’s closeness to Asia while having all the advantages of Western culture.
In my own research, I have found that the University of Sydney has a very good business and logistics program, and a very good reputation overall. Since my arrival, I have been enjoying my studies and acquiring new skills, which help me to understand and adapt to our fast-changing world.
The study program at the university has helped build my confidence in the faculty professors whom I believe can help me to become more professional. I also have learned from them that any obstacle can be overcome to reach my goal. The experiences gained at the university will definitely help in handling the competition of globalised business.
The main aim of the program of study and socialisation is to help graduates gain knowledge, self-confidence, and a sense of social responsibility. In joining the mentoring program, helping new students to socialise with existing students, I know I will be helping them toward this goal. My life in Australia also offers an opportunity to understand western culture and how it could blend into my own Asian culture. Toward that end I think the University of Sydney is a world-class institution of higher education.
