"I had completed nursing in the Philippines, and wanted to get Australian nursing qualifications. So I did a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Victoria University. 

There was a high standard of teaching. Staff were very approachable and helpful, especially for me, a person not used to Australia. They really helped me with things I wasn't familiar with and how to use available resources. 

I'm very happy nursing. I've worked in so many fields - orthopaedics, neurology, medical, surgical, gastroenterology, oncology and now in geriatric. But it doesn't really matter where I go, as long as I have plenty of patient contact."
