Victoria University
In my country, Mozambique, I work at a teacher training university where teachers of English are trained for primary and secondary schools. I felt that I needed to upgrade my skills in teaching English so that I can be in a better position to train other teachers.

My choice of Victoria University was based on the fact that it happened to be offering the course I was interested in. However, I now realise that I made a very good choice due to the fact that it is located in a very good city, and judging from my ELICOS (English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students) experience, it has good teachers.

The University Preparation Course 1 learning module was the best part of my course preparation and helped me to get acquainted with the University’s academic life. I learned quite a lot about what I will be expected to do as a student at Victoria University. It has made me more confident than I was before the course.

As a teacher trainer I hope the course will be very helpful in my working life as well as in future studies, if there is a chance for me to do more study. The course will give me expertise in English language teaching and, consequently, I hope to learn more about teacher training.

From what I have seen, students will not regret choosing Victoria University to do their courses. There are plenty of resources, and Melbourne is a ‘live’ city.
