Favorite activities
I like photography and especially enjoy taking pictures of landscapes around the campus. I also know a little about photography in modeling and use this knowledge to improve the quality of my pictures. I am not a great swimmer, but I love my school’s swimming pools. Since I am conscious about my health, I also use our school gym for my exercise needs.
Favorite class
My favorite class was Micro Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS). I liked this class because I got to study mechanical systems at the micro level, which is very exciting and is a hot field right now.
Favorite place on campus
My favorite place on campus is Lake Claire. It is a quiet and beautiful lake and I can play beach volleyball, soccer, and badminton.
Favorite campus-wide event
My favorite campus-wide event is Homecoming (also known as Knightmare). I like the Homecoming event, especially Spirit Splash when all the students get to go into the reflection pond at Millican Hall.
I also really enjoy the International Fair. It is beautiful to watch international students coming together to represent their countries carrying their country flag in a parade wearing traditional dresses.
Five things you love about the United States or your school
I like the government system, the law, and the order. I also really like the roads, super-markets, and tourist places like Orlando, Niagara, and San Francisco.
Best international student group/organization on campus
The best international student association on campus is the International Student Association for their dedication and hard work to make international students feel at home.
Best tip for living in the United States
Spend money wisely, plan ahead, and stick to your goals. Also, drive safe and try not to get speeding tickets.
What is the class atmosphere like at your school?
Even though our graduate classes are small in size, we always have very competitive and interactive classes.
Why you are here (in the United States or at the school you chose)?
I chose to study at the University of Central Florida because of its interest in international students and the use of cutting edge technology. It will give me great pleasure and satisfaction the day I receive a degree from my school.
How do you feel that your experience in the United States will help you later in life?
I think the education and professionalism I receive here will enable me to successfully live and work any where in the world.
How have your perceptions changed about the United States and/or going to school in the United States?
I never realized the number of opportunities one can have here. I now know that there are plenty of opportunities if one works hard and is determined.
